THE PROJECT is under control for the moment.

I got the first 40 booklets finished last night and in the mail this morning. I doubted we would actually get this far, but now I am pretty confident that we will be able to finish the rest later this week.

While the day started well with a sense of accomplishment, it ended with a feeling of complete frustration about something stupid involving, a) the proper way to make blueberry pancakes, and, b) the inadvisability of storing chocolates in swamp water.

Let's just say on a we disagree.

And as far as b is concerned, it really would've been a good idea to look in the ice bucket first, in case there was any old standing water left from the last time it was used, before dropping the chocolates in.

But I suppose there was a more mature response to finding the soggy chocolate than smashing them up with the wooden meat hammer.

Nothing like a little spirited holiday moment.
